Stople

Breathtaking Stolpe is located on the southwestern part of the island and is one of the oldest cities on Usedom. For most of its existence, it was owned by the Schwerin family until World War II. Stolpe did not develop after the war. In the 15th century, a church was built in Stolpe, which was destroyed by lightning in 1867.

In the years 1871–73, it was rebuilt with the use of red brick, the organs made in Grüneberg's studio in Szczecin were installed. Local carpenters designed the interior. The church belongs to the Lutheran parish in Usedom. In front of the church, there is a memorial to the victims of World War I - a soldier holding a grenade. The attraction of the Stolpe is the castle, currently being renovated and reconstructed by the Association created especially for this purpose. Its first parts were built in the years 1570 and 1600. It was renovated and expanded at the end of the 17th century. Friedrich von Schwerin rebuilt the castle in 1905. Currently, events are organized inside it several times a year, including concerts. Buildings near the castle are also interesting.
